Takashima group and Nijies Enterprise collaborated and developed new expandable resin "SFC" for packaging and other applications, of which foamed products lie midway between the foamed products with copolymer resin and conventional EPS in strength and other properties with cost advantage

For some applications, the intensity of the copolymer is not required, but the sufficient strength can not be maintained with the conventional EPS; consequently, there has been a demand for the intermediate product. SFC was developed based on the EPS resins with patented coating mechanism. SFC provides our clients not only variety, but also cost-effective solution.

Theory & Structure of SFC beads forming

Fabricating a skin membrane on the surface of conventional EPS beads providing for considerable improvement, is the key to the NIJES SFC series beads technology.

The significant increase in the fusion of the formed structure due to the surface skin membrane not only sufficiently brings out the performance of the beads but also provides for a maintained high foaming rate, a required characteristic in formed structures.
